Inis Meáin is a unique place. A small Gaeltacht island situated off the coast of Galway, with a population of 180 people, it combines modern living with the traditions of old.
Irish is a living language here and is embedded in daily life.

Would you like to be a part of this wonderful school...
The school is deeply integrated into the island community. Students actively participant in, and host local events, such as “Féile na bPuachachaí” “Tae na Samhna”, “Cead”, a sport unique to Inis Méain which is played only on St Patrick’s Day and of course our infamous Inis Iron Meáin race.
While living on the island students can explore and enjoy local amenities such as our beautiful beaches, the football pitch, ancient historical sites, the community centre, and flora and fauna, many of which are rare. There is also a shop, a post office, and seasonal cafes which students can avail of.
